La Original Banda El Limon is comprised of 17 members, each bringing a unique talent to the group. The band's history dates make to 1965, and is one of the oldest groups in contemporary Mexican music. Led by clarinetist Salvador Lizarraga Sanchez, La Original Banda El Limon was one of the first to use amplification during performances, allowing the group to play for larger crowds in bigger venues. The group has released more than 25 albums throughout the years, including the most recent, "El Primer Lugar," in 2011.
